**Artist Doll 17 Inch Calli Lou~ Beautifully Dressed!**

Description

A gorgeous doll~!  She stands approximately 17 inches tall and has a beautiful porcelain breast plate with a swivel head, well painted porcelain half arms and half legs.    She is jointed at the neck only and has a white tightly stuffed leather body and she has the pinkie finger on her right hand has been broken and glued, otherwise she is in very good condition.  She is beautifully made with a serene face that has medium brown nicely arched multi stroke painted eyebrows, fixed dark hazel glass eyes with painted dark upper and lower lashes and a light pale rose color shadow above her eyes.  There is a very small melon colored dot at the inside corner of each eye.  She has high blushed cheeks and a beautifully formed melon colored smile.  She has little melon colored spot in each nostril.  Her hair is a light blonde wig, feels like mohair, with long rolled curls down the back and a braid wrapped around her head and little curly bangs across her forehead.   She doesn’t have a pate, the top of her head is the formed Styrofoam and the wig sits on top and held in place with straight pins in the Styrofoam.  Vintage style and Beautiful~!  She has markings on the back of her head Calli Lou 1980.   She is a gorgeous lady ~!
She is beautifully dressed~!  She has white light cotton knee length bloomers with pintucks, a tie weaved in around the waist tied in a bow in the back and a row of Battenberg type lace on each leg.  She has a cream colored (feels like wool) half slip with two small hook and eye fasteners for closure.  A light off white cotton long camisole with a light blue ribbon weaved through the lace trim around the neck and tied in a bow in the front completes her undergarment ensemble.   Her vintage looking suit is tagged on the inside back skirt hem with a white tag with red lettering that reads Shirley Darmohray as the seamstress.  The material is a kind of soft knit thin material with the skirt and jacket lined with a red taffeta.  The jacket has four snaps down the front with five buttons for decoration and a trim of gray curly wool and white lace trim around the neckline.  Each sleeve also has a gold metallic trim with white lace trim around each wrist.  The skirt has a single hook and eye for closure at the waist in back and has an overlay of a bustle style piece decorated at the hem with the gold metallic trim along with a row of pleats around the hem.   She has a matching gray curly wool muff with a red ribbon to keep her hands warm ~ especially that broken finger~!  So very classy~!   She has short white ribbed stockings and black boots with buttons up the side and matching wool strip around the top.  The boots are kind of loose on her feet but obviously were part of her original outfit as they are decorated with the same curly wool trim but I’m sure they keep her feet warm~!  Beautiful doll~!
I would say she has been on display, her wig has a little bit of a dusty look, not much, her dress appears clean and she has a great vintage look.  She is very pretty and a very well dressed young lady~!
