Wolfsohn Dresden Hand Painted Watteau Scene Floral & Gold Reticulated 8 1/4 Bowl
Beautiful reticulated scrollwork porcelain bowl. Nicely decorated with hand a hand painted scene in the center of the bowl depicting a Georgian courting couple in a garden with a small house and mountains in the distance. Around the scene are small purple, orange, blue, yellow and pink flowers. With gold gilt leaves and highlights along the reticulation and pink, blue, orange, yellow and purple flowers. The outside of the bowl has three smaller courting couple scenes framed in gold gilt scrollwork designs above small pink flowers. Marked on the bottom with a blue crown D mark used by Helena Wolfsohn in Dresden Germany between 1886 and 1891.
Has some wear to the gilding and a very small gilded over flake to the edge, but otherwise good condition.
Measures approximately 8 1/4 inches wide x 2 3/8 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
