What a wonderful opportunity to get a Wiltrud Stein limited edition porcelain and cloth  baby.  THIS DOLL IS MADE  BY WILTRUD STEIN IT IS NOT A PRODUCTION DOLL.
9" Berle is such a sweet doll child with the porcelain mold made by Wiltrud  in a small edition of only 24 pieces.
The porcelain features are all hand painted and Wiltrud dolls are known to be one of the most lifelike babies. Berle is  9" with a mohair wig and all handmade knit clothing.  She comes with her  tiny Wood Teddy Bear.
Look at that face the perfect baby face of love and trust and  innocence. The porcelain  on these dolls is sanded so finely and the details of the painted eyes is extraordinary to accomplish  in such a small size.
Wiltrud is one of the very few  artists who work in this small scale with porcelain dolls.  The head arms and tiny feet, that show each tiny toe, are all porcelain. The body that Wiltrud creates  is made of cloth and is known in German as a little Puppet or Hemplechen.  Wiltrud places a string inside the body that can be pulled to pose the baby doll.  See photo of the string pull that makes the baby move to pose it.
This doll is completely made by the artist it is NOT a mass  production doll.
The COA signed by Wiltrud Stein comes with the baby. Once you own a Wiltrud Stein artist doll you will know the perfection and search for others by this fine artist.
