a nice original old tool check tag, 1-1/8" in diameter, from FORD Motor Company's historic ROUGE  Automotive complex and its Dearborn Assembly Operation
.
It is numbered "X9693".
Tool checks were used by factory workers to requisition tools from the tool crib -- the number identifies the employee

Collectors used these on key fobs to accompany their vintage Ford vehicle. key chain included. A bit more gold then pic suggests
