Rare Vintage Stockton Islander Tiki Scorpion Bowl
This is a rare and seldom seen vintage 60s-70s tiki mug/bowl from the Islander in Stockton, California, operating 1946-1994.
This bowl was used to serve a Scorpion drink for two, with an outrigger scene on one side and palm trees on the opposite side. It holds approx. 4 cups of liquid.
The height is approx. 4-3/4", the diameter at the top is approx. 7-3/4", and the base measures approx. 5". The Otagiri foil label is present.
The interior base has some raised dots of excess clay which is normal in these vintage pieces.
There are no other condition issues such as cracks, chips, etc. except for the bottom where the bowl has been worn from display, see pictures.
This wonderful piece of tiki memorabilia from the Islander has vibrant coloring and a glossy glaze...it has been gently used and cared for and is in excellent condition.
