Description

This is a
Rare Set of 12 Herend Porcelain Green
Indian Basket
Ramekins (or Soup Bowls with ornate handle, lid, and plate)
. Each three-piece setting is made of hand-painted porcelain with 24-karat gold trim and a beautiful long handle with decorative top. The pattern is Indian Basket. The decorative tops each have a small vine and bud detail. This set of 36 pieces is in
excellent condition
. Although the Condition is Used there are only three missing vine pieces on 3 of the 12 lids (please see the picture with 4 lids, which show 1 perfect lid along with the 3 lids that have missing vines). The rest of the set is entirely perfect, with
no scratches, chips, cracks, or loss of gold detail.
With new research on the stamp found on the bottom of the bowl , I am pretty confident this set was made between 1915 -1930. Another EBayer has surmised that the set is probably 1890 .
This style ramekin is extremely rare and discontinued by Herend many years ago .
Markings: Each of the twelve small plates has a blue Herend stamp on the bottom (see the pictures), along with an inscribed "HEREND"" word and the number "516". Each of the twelve ramekins has a blue stamp as well, along with an inscribed "HEREND" and the number "737". There are no markings whatsoever on the lids.
These would make a great addition for any Herend collector!
