    Description

Benjamin Wheelock was a lumberjack of early Muskegan in 1837.  This doll is made to represent him.  The head and hands are wood, features painted.  The body, arms and legs are cloth, boots suede.   The belt he is wearing has an additional tag made in Lumberton, MI.  The artists are both from MI, and tags give all the information about the doll.  He is very unusual and a nice opportunity to add not only a wooden doll to your collection, but one that has meaning in American history.   His condition is near mint.
