    Description

    Whimsical Hannibal and Br'er Possum made by Odaca artist Betsey Baker of NY.  This darling chubby little black boy is 15" tall and is wearing a polka dot shirt and overalls with 1 strap.  His head, hands, lower legs and feet are sculpted but the rest of the body is soft.  He has 2 hang tags and is also signed on the foot,  Made April 1990. He has lovely curly hair and the longest eye lashes and rosy cheeks.  His friend Br'er possum is completely sculpted and covered with fur.  possum is 8.75" tall and wonderfully painted.  They are just so sweet and you can't help but be happy when you look at them.  Hannibal also carries a basket or little brown hand made eggs.  If you love OOAK dolls you will love this cute duo.  If you love African American dolls you will fall in love.  They are both in excellent like new condition and have been in my doll cabinet for 30 years.
