    Stylish m
id century Kon Tiki straight lip square design OMC (Otagiri Mercantile Co) short tiki ceramic cocktail tumbler! The design of this mug is borrowed from Thor Heyerdahl's Kon Tiki boat, which used the design of a South American sun god, Kon Tiki. Forehead has three sun ray like dashes, lips are two horizontal lines. Mug is approx. a 12
oz capacity with glossy glaze in a caramel color that has a concave base.  * Keep your eyes peeled to our shop if you are a Tiki Lover, we will be listing our 30+ years worth of our personal collection of tiki mugs. We will happily combine orders to save on shipping!
OMC is best known for its tiki-themed products for bars and restaurants, although they also sold a wide range of higher-end of ceramics carried by retail stores. Their tiki line, which is highly prized by collectors of tiki mugs and other ceramic pieces, started in the 1960's.
Tiki mug is in excellent condition! NO chips, dings or pings! The usual light surface wear, does have crazing to gloss glaze here and there from years of helping Madge keep the glam in her tiki lounge booming, but nothing that distracts from this wonderful treasure tiki history.
Makers Mark: None, OMC sticker fell off during wash, but is indeed a Otagiri Co mug
Approximate size: 6" tall x 3" wide at opening    •     Weight: 0lbs 11.2oz before packing materials and shipping box
