These hardened step jaws are made steel heat treated to HRC 46-49. They are backward compatible with carvesmart and other dovetail type jaw carriers.
The listed price is for a matching pair of 2 pieces.
The jaws pictured have a step depth of .100" in the Z axis and .090" in the Y axis. They are flippable, so the bottom can have a step of different dimension.
Standard jaws will have the following steps:
Side 1- .100" x .090"
Side 2- .162" x .090"
Side 1- .225" x  .090"
Side 2- .287" x .090"
Side 1- .350" x .090"
Side 2- .412" x .090"
Side 1- .475" x .090"
Side 2- .537" x .090"
The overall length is 6.125"
The overall width is .812".
The overall height is 1.710".
These are the same jaws we use in our shop to produce highly precise and repeatable parts.
We can make jaws of different step dimensions upon request for an additional charge.
We can also provide blanks with no steps.
