Dresden Lamm Courting Scenes Cup and Saucer
Exceptional Dresden hand-painted cup and saucer decorated by Ambrosius Lamm.   The pieces are decorated with cartouches of courting scenes over deep cobalt blue and trimmed with gilt scrollwork.
Measures
Cup: 2" high; 3" in
diameter
Saucer: 4 3/4" in diameter
Signed in blue on the bottom with the
Lamp
Dresden decorating mark; c1887.
Good original condition with one tiny chip in the cobalt, wear to the center,
and three tight hairlines (not easily seen) on the back of the saucer which do not go through. Light age-related gilt wear/loss to the handle and to high points of each piece.
