    Description

    A wonderful handcrafted doll/figurine by the incredible Dianne Dengel.  "GIRL ON A CHAIR" is about 8" tall including her chair.  The doll wears a green shirt under a white pinafore.  She is holding a black cat, also made by Dianne.  Her hair is red.  She is attached to her chair and cannot be removed, nor can her clothes - they are firmly painted onto her body.  She is really cute.  The hat was not made by Dianne and is removable.  Signed & dated, '72.
    From the estate of  Dianne Dengel, a self-taught artist from the Rochester, NY area.  Dianne Dengel created her dolls to represent people as they are - clothing may have what look like dirt spots or the hair is mussed.   Since she handmade each one, they are each imperfectly perfect.  Any 'imperfection' in the doll was the way she wanted them.  Dianne passed away in 2012.
