    An marvelous handmade doll by the incredible Dianne Dengel.  "WOODCARVER" consists of a man seated in a wood rocking chair holding a carving knife.  He has bits of wood stuck to the knees of his pants.  The man is 22" tall in a seated position. Signed but not dated.    The rocking chair and wooden toy (made by Dianne) comes with the woodcarver..
    From the Dianne Dengel estate: Dianne Dengel's dolls were created to represent people as they are - clothing may have what look like dirt spots or the hair is mussed.   Since she handmade each one, they are each imperfectly perfect.  Any 'imperfection' in the doll was the way she wanted them.  Dianne passed away in 2012.  Please check out my other Dengel dolls and prints for framing.
