CRAIG WOOD SIGNED BLACK & WHITE POST-SWING PHOTO - MATTED
After being a champion of many tournaments throughout the 1930's, and many close calls in a few Major tournaments, Craig in 1941 finally became victorious in both the The Masters and the US Open. This tough signature of the champion is found in time-period ink on the surface of this post-swing photograph meticulously applied in the top left corner. The late Craig Wood is regarded as the second most difficult Masters Champion signature to obtain only to club professional Claude Harmon. Most signatures of Wood's are found on cuts or multi-signed items, with a photograph being a highly desired medium with supreme presentation value. One of the original bombers of the ball, Wood passed away in 1968, long before golf signature collecting was common. When inspected closely Craig Wood has a cigarette in his mouth on the tee box, speaking to the cool demeanor of the '41 Masters and US Open champ.
