I just purchased this Carl Thieme Porcelain Factory (Saechsische Porzellanfabrik zu Potschappel von Carl Thieme) centerpiece bowl from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece bears the "Dresden" cojoined monogram utilized by the Potschappel (Saxony, Germany) decorating studio founded in 1872 (this mark was introduced in 1901 / 1902). The piece has a striking Art Nouveau inspired form with crisp detail to the scalloped ovoid bowl, scrolled feet and applied floral accents. The hand painting shows rich color and fine detail. The bowl is in very good condition with some ½ pinhead production flakes to the foot ring edge and one broken petal, some minor roughness on other petals. Also some pictured gold loss to the border band. The piece measures 11 ½" long, 8" wide and 5" high. This lovely Art Nouveau floral centerpiece would make a nice addition to your collection of early 1900's Carl Thieme / Dresden porcelains.
