Description
CONDITION: ExcellentThis porcelain compote or pedestal serving dish was produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn Dresden studio in the 1890s. The dish is 6 5/8 inches in diameter and 2 3/4 inches high. The porcelain is decorated with a hand painted scene of 18th century lovers courting. They are sitting in a garden landscape. The painting is detailed and colorful. A border of gilded scrolls and flowers encircles the central scene. The same border is used on the base. Lacy gold trim accents the rims. Tiny flower buds dot the porcelain on the underside. #C509
