Antique Richard Klemm Dresden Hand Painted Watteau Scene Cup & Saucer【Factory】Richard Klemm(1869-1916)
Karl Richard Klemm founded a porcelain decorating studio in Striesen bei Dresden in 1869. The decorating style of Richard Klemm closely matched that of the Meissen factories . He often used a heavily applied style that focused on florals. Richard Klemm, along with Helena Wolfsohn, Karl Thiem, Ambrosius Lamm and Donath & Co., were among the most sought after porcelain decorating studios at this time. In the early 1880's Richard Klemm registered his mark, the "Klemm Dresden Crown". He merged his company with the studio of Donath & Co. in 1916. However the merged companies were subsequently purchased in 1918 by Hutschenreuther.
【Date】Between 1891 and 1914.
【Size】The cup: 5.5 cm high/5.5 cm diameter. The saucer: 11.5 cm diameter.

This is a charming Richard Klemm Dresden cup and saucer set. The cup is hand painted all around the exterior depicting a bucolic scene of couples and friends enjoying the countryside. The scene is very detailed, with people playing instrument and dancing. The cup and saucer have rich gold decorating design and decorated with raised gold beads.
I have more items from Ambrosius Lamm that I will post in the coming months.
Please closely look at all the pictures because they sometimes give more detailed information. If you have any questions, please send me a message! I would be happy to answer them for you!
