    Description

These extra high quality ca. 1900  skate blades appear to be intended to mount on heeled men's leather boots and each blade measures 13 3/8" long x 2 3/4" tall (top of the curlicue).  They have riveted cast brass mounts and are of high grade steel.  Each is stamped W. H. WIRTH. Wirth is a little known United States maker of skates who based his designs on on the Ernst Hunold Patent skate: it varies by having a cast iron screw for the heel.
