African God of Protection Handmade Ebony Wood 9 inches tall Tanzania

For auction is a 9 inch  African God statue handmade in Tanzania from Ebony Wood.    This is a God with Children that have their arms wrapped around the parent for protection.  I don't have any history on this statue as i bought this on Ebay many years ago and the seller did not know any of the history.  I was told it was a God of protection and I bought this as it is a beautiful piece of Art with much detail in the carving.  This piece weighs almost 3 pounds.
