1981 A PROUD HERIITAGE UNITED STATES NAVY RECRUITING NEW ORLEANS GOLDTONE ALUMINUM DOUBLOON is: 39 mm in diameter and weighs 4 grams.
The obverse is stamped: "SAILORS HAVE MORE FUN!!" at the top, "1975" at the bottom near the rim. In the center a mermaid is looking through a spyglass telescope. She is encircles with "BUCANEER DAY" "NAVY DAY" "ANDOUILLE" "JAMBILE FESTIVAL of LIGHTS" MARDI GRAS" "SUGARCANE FESTIVAL".
The reverse center has the CONSTITUTION as viewed toward the starboard side atop an anchor with "UNITED" on the left and "STATES' on the right ."NAVY" is in a box atop the middle of the lower portion of the anchor.
